With its origins based in ancient Persia, these Persian rugs have been exported since the early 19th Century. Made of durable wool on cotton, with part silk, the Bakhtiari Persian rugs are known as the most durable of all Persians, although they are extremely fine.
Patterns usually express floral or garden design, and natural dyes are used to produce a variety of colours. The most well known pattern in this range, is the Khesti (garden motif) depicting both plants and animals, and includes shades of reds, yellows, browns, greens and whites.
The vintage look and feel of these aged rugs provide the allure of mystery and history, and are guaranteed to add grandeur to any home.
